American Gold EagleAmerican Gold Eagle1 oz · BU

The American Gold Eagle is the coin most people picture when they picture “gold bullion” — and it's usually the first one Jacksonville customers ask us about. Congress created the program under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, and the U.S. Mint struck the first Gold Eagles in 1986. It remains the best-selling gold coin the U.S. Mint produces.

The obverse carries Augustus Saint-Gaudens' full-length Lady Liberty, striding forward with the Capitol behind her — adapted from his famous 1907 double eagle design. A 1 oz American Gold Eagle is struck at 91.67% fineness (22-karat) with a small amount of silver and copper alloyed in for durability, giving it a total weight of about 33.93 grams.

King Philip Coin keeps American Gold Eagles in stock and ready to go — walk in, and you can buy or sell yours in person today, cash or approved payment on the spot. Full online ordering is on the way, but you don't have to wait on it: the choice is yours.

American Gold BuffaloAmerican Gold Buffalo1 oz · BU · .9999 fine

When the U.S. Mint launched the American Buffalo Gold Coin in 2006, it made history as the Mint's first-ever 24-karat gold coin — no alloy, no filler, just .9999 fine gold. The design itself is older and much-loved: James Earle Fraser's 1913 “Buffalo Nickel” artwork, brought back as an ongoing gold bullion program in 2006.

A 1 oz American Gold Buffalo weighs 31.108 grams of pure .9999 gold. Because there's no alloy, the coin is noticeably softer than an American Gold Eagle, so we always recommend gentle handling and capsule storage.

King Philip Coin can get you an American Gold Buffalo now, with in-person purchase and payment available today at our Jacksonville location. Online checkout for this item isn't live yet, but it's coming — for now, the choice is yours.

Canadian Gold Maple LeafCanadian Gold Maple Leaf1 oz · BU · .9999 fine

The Royal Canadian Mint introduced the Gold Maple Leaf in 1979, then in 1982 pushed it to .9999 fine — the world's first 99.99% pure gold bullion coin, a benchmark that reset expectations for the entire bullion industry. The reverse's maple leaf has anchored the design since day one; the obverse carries the reigning monarch, today King Charles III.

At 1 troy ounce (31.11 grams) of .9999 fine gold, the Gold Maple Leaf is thinner and more delicate-feeling in hand than an American Gold Eagle of the same weight — a difference we point out to customers comparing the two side by side.

We can source Canadian Gold Maple Leafs for Jacksonville customers now, with in-person pickup and payment available at the shop today. Online purchasing for this item is coming soon — until then, the choice is yours.

South African Gold KrugerrandSouth African Gold Krugerrand1 oz · BU · 22k

The Krugerrand has been around longer than any other modern gold bullion coin — South Africa's Rand Refinery and the South African Mint introduced it in 1967, decades before the American Gold Eagle or Canadian Maple Leaf existed. The obverse carries a portrait of Paul Kruger, the coin's namesake; the reverse shows a springbok antelope, one of South Africa's national symbols.

A 1 oz Krugerrand is struck at 22-karat (91.67% fine), the same gold-copper alloy standard as the American Gold Eagle, giving it a noticeably warmer, more orange color than a .9999 fine coin — a detail Jacksonville buyers comparing coins side by side tend to notice right away.

King Philip Coin can get you a South African Gold Krugerrand now, in person, cash or approved payment on the spot. Online ordering for this item is on the way — until then, the choice is yours.

Gold British BritanniaGold British Britannia1 oz · BU · .9999 fine

The Royal Mint has struck a Britannia coin since 1987, and the modern gold bullion version is one of the more security-conscious coins on the market — since 2019 it has carried a series of micro-text marks and other covert security features built right into the design. The obverse carries the current Royal portrait; the reverse depicts Britannia herself, the classical personification of Britain, standing with a trident and shield.

A 1 oz Gold Britannia is struck to .9999 fine gold, putting it in the same top-purity tier as the Canadian Maple Leaf and American Buffalo.

We can source a Gold British Britannia for Jacksonville customers now, with in-person pickup and payment available today. Online purchasing isn't live yet, but it's coming — the choice is yours in the meantime.

Gold BarsGold Bars1 oz · .9999 fine · mint varies

Not every gold buyer wants a coin's history or design — plenty of our Jacksonville customers just want the most gold for their dollar, and that's exactly what a generic gold bar delivers. A 1 oz gold bar is refined to .9999 fineness, the same 24-karat purity as our finest coins, but without the design work or mint branding that add cost to a coin.

Every bar we carry comes from a recognized refiner and is stamped with that refiner's hallmark, weight, and purity — its own guarantee that the bar is exactly what it claims to be. Ounce for ounce, a gold bar is typically the most cost-efficient way to buy physical gold in Jacksonville.

We keep generic gold bars in stock and ready for in-person purchase and payment at King Philip Coin today. Online ordering for this item is coming soon, so for now the choice is yours — come see us or check back shortly.

10 oz Gold Bars10 oz Gold Bars10 oz · .9999 fine · mixed

A 10 oz gold bar is the natural next step up for buyers who've already picked up a few 1 oz coins or bars and want to move more gold per transaction without paying a premium on every single ounce. Every 10 oz bar is refined to .9999 fine gold and hallmarked by its refiner with weight, purity, and an assay mark.

Because the cost of refining and minting is spread across ten times the metal, the premium over spot gold is typically lower than buying the equivalent weight in 1 oz pieces — exactly why serious stackers and business owners building a real position gravitate toward this size.

We carry 10 oz gold bars and can get you one today, in person, with payment handled right here at the shop. Online ordering for this item is coming soon — for now, the choice is yours.

Kilo Gold BarsKilo Gold Bars32.15 oz · .9999 fine · mixed

A kilo bar (32.15 troy ounces) is where gold buying moves from stacking into real position-building — a size we mostly sell to business owners and investors looking to hold meaningful weight in physical gold. Each kilo bar is refined to .9999 fine gold and hallmarked by its refiner with weight, purity, and an assay mark, the same verification standard as every bar we carry, just at a much larger scale.

Because so much metal is covered by one bar's refining cost, the premium over spot is usually the lowest of anything we sell by weight.

King Philip Coin can source kilo gold bars for in-person purchase and payment today. Online ordering isn't live yet but is on the way — until then, the choice is yours.

Pre-1933 U.S. Gold CoinsPre-1933 U.S. Gold Coins$2.50 / $5 / $10 / $20 · raw / ungraded

Before 1933, gold coins weren't a bullion product — they were just money, struck in $2.50, $5, $10, and $20 denominations and used in everyday circulation and savings. Executive Order 6102 ended that in 1933, ordering most gold coins turned in and melted, which is a big part of why surviving pre-1933 gold coins carry a story (and a scarcity) a modern bullion coin can't match.

“Raw” means ungraded — bought and sold on gold content and overall condition rather than a third-party grading service's certified grade, which usually makes them the more affordable way into pre-1933 gold ownership.

Because pricing on raw pre-1933 gold depends on the specific coin, date, and condition in hand, we price these individually rather than off a live spot calculation — give us a call or stop by and we'll walk through what's available.

Graded Pre-1933 U.S. Gold CoinsGraded Pre-1933 U.S. Gold Coins$2.50 / $5 / $10 / $20 · PCGS / NGC graded

These are the same pre-1933 U.S. gold coins — $2.50, $5, $10, and $20 denominations struck before the 1933 recall — but authenticated and assigned a numeric condition grade by a third-party grading service like PCGS or NGC, then sealed in a tamper-evident holder. That certified grade is what separates a numismatic coin from a bullion coin: two coins with identical gold content can be worth very different amounts once collector demand for a specific date, mint, and condition enters the picture.

As an affiliated dealer with both PCGS and NGC, we can also help Jacksonville customers get their own coins graded if you're looking to sell.

Graded pre-1933 gold coins are priced individually based on date, grade, and current collector demand — give us a call or stop by and we'll go through what's in stock.
