Paul came to our house to evaluate coins, stamps, baseball cards and other items. He was very knowledgeable, engaging with historical stories applicable to what we had, came equipped with the tools to provide an honest and fair appraisal and offer to purchase, and paid on the spot.

Local History
Fernandina Beach sits on Amelia Island, nicknamed the “Isle of Eight Flags” for the eight different nations that have claimed it — from the Timucua people who lived along these shores long before European contact, through French, Spanish, and British rule, to statehood. Downtown Fernandina’s historic district still holds that layered history, including the Palace Saloon, Florida’s oldest bar, pouring drinks since 1903.
Long before any of those flags flew, Native peoples along this coast — connected to the same wampum trade networks used by tribes like the Wampanoag further north — traded and valued shell and metal goods much the way collectors value coins and currency today.
For Families & Estates on Amelia Island
With a median age near 59 and a lot of long-established homes, Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island are exactly the kind of community where inherited coin collections, old currency, and family heirlooms turn up more often than people expect.
If you’re sorting through a parent’s or grandparent’s belongings here, I’ll come take a real, in-hand look — free of charge — before anything gets sold, donated, or thrown out.
Because the island has such deep maritime and mercantile history, I regularly find more than just coins in these estates — ship’s brass and nautical instruments, old maps and harbor charts, sterling silver and flatware, fine and costume jewelry, pocket watches, militaria from Fort Clinch’s Civil War and coastal-defense years, and advertising tins or breweriana tied to downtown Fernandina’s old storefronts and saloons.
For Buyers & Investors
Amelia Island’s household incomes are well above the state average, and I work with local buyers looking to move part of their savings into gold, silver, and platinum they can hold in hand rather than watch on a screen.
Whether you’re just starting a position or adding to one you’ve held for years, I sell gold, silver, and platinum by the tube and monster box, locally and in person — no shipping, no waiting, and a dealer who’s been doing this since 1976.
